As part of the “practical project” at Pforzheim University, a student team is given a assignment by a company. Supervised by a professor, the students work on the task for one semester.
We were a group of four students and were able to work together with the municipal insurer BGV / Badische Versicherungen. For the company we were asked to develop a communication concept for their new product “4Starters“: An insurance package for young professionals.
As a basis for the communication concept, we performed our own target group, company and competition analysis. For this analysis we conducted several interviews with experts, two focus groups, a survey in the target group and a detailed literature research. At the end, the results were presented in the form of a written elaboration and a presentation in front of the BGV.

Born and raised in Karlsruhe, in the south-west of Germany, Jonas is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. He finished his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on marketing at Pforzheim University in July 2019.
